I made Resurrection Eggs this year thanks to an inspiring mentor, Chris Mauck. There are 12 eggs, and each contains an excerpt from scripture and a tangible object description. You start 12 days before Easter Sunday, opening one egg a day, reading and discussing its importance. Telling the story of the Cross, Jesus' Death and ultimately His Resurrection!
I just love making traditions and memories with my kids and being intentional about the activities we do together. Mikaela totally "got it" and within the week she was close to "expert" in re-telling the story. A story of a real event, making real sense to her, making real deposits in her heart. Amazing. Michael and I would just look at each other in amazement as she recited what we was learning each day.
Here are all 12 "objects". The 12th is an empty egg because, He's not there, HE IS RISEN!!!!!!
