Hana Bound

Some of our best friends, the Coetzee's we're in town, so we planned a "day trip" to Hana. It as awesome! Michael & Brynne, Danielle & Linus, James, Ben and the four of us. Mikaela & Zach had such a blast!


We drove out the back way and stopped in Kanaio at the historic St. Joseph's Church. It's beautifully surreal.




Then, Mikaela was stoked to hike up to Secret Falls, and Zachy Boy thought it was pretty cool that the waterfall could blow his hair around so much. We were the only ones there (since it's secret) and it couldn't of had better conditions.




On to Hamoa Bay, A-MAZING. Postcard perfect weather with crystal clear waters. We ate lunch on the beach while the guys surfed. Mikaela even caught some waves on her body board. She rode a couple all the way in, wiped out pretty good, and even went back out for more. A very proud moment for her Daddy.


We ended off the day with a stop at Wai'anapanapa. (I have really fun memories of camping there as a kid) We said hello to a monk seal who was basking in the sun on the black sand beach, and hiked to the caves. Mikaela and Zach both swam with us all the way through to the back of the caves in the freezing fresh water.



The day couldn't of been better! The kids were STOKED all day! I love that we can do such fun things with our family and friends. Our life is an awesome adventure! God's creation is absolutely mind blowing, and so much fun to enjoy!
