And as the sun sets on the Christmas season, we are ready to bring in the New Year, 2011! But may we always keep the Joy of Christmas in our hearts, and rejoice in the incredible Gift of God's Son to us! For His LOVE is year-round, never-ever ending.

"You shall therefore lay up these words of mine in your heart and in your soul, and you shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall teach them to your children, talking of them when you are sitting in your house, and when you are walking by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise."

Deuteronomy 11:18-19

Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised, and his greatness is unsearchable. One generation shall commend your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts. Christmas Card 2010

2010: What a year! Zach started crawling! We moved to our new house in Kihei. Love our new home, and we have a really great neighborhood and community. Mikaela started a 2 day/week preschool. We opened hotel Woodard (we love having our guest room!). ZACHY BOY’S 1st Birthday! Mikaela learned to swim! Oahu, and Dr. appts. ,Zach’s 8th surgery (just a hernia), and our friends in town! Big girl bike for Mikaela, Hana camping trip, lots of shave ice with the neighbors! Zachy Boy got braces for his feet. Had fun all over CA! Michael & Ciara celebrated 7 years of awesomeness (marriage), MIKAELA turned 4!!!
We are so loving our little family, and treasure every moment with each other. Our Mikaela is growing before our very eyes and we are so grateful she is beginning to understand so much about her Savior. She is a true JOY in every way. She is such a beauty and so is her heart. She is the bestest big sister and has a fun sense of humor. Mikaela can also touch the depths of your heart with her thoughts, words and actions. WE LOVE HER!

Zach is amazing too! We are beyond thankful for how well our little man is doing, he is the sweetest little boy and we have so much fun with him. He’s super smart too, and talks so much! Zachs voice is so cute. He loves to play with his big sister and “whide” on the skateboard. Dad even takes him body boarding to “get barreled”. He has a way of making you feel so special and gives the most tender hugs. WE LOVE HIM!
We are the most blessed parents and couldn’t ask for anything more. We are so thankful for our marriage and God’s presence in our life! We are surrounded by people we love and are honored to “do life” with you.
May you know and feel God’s love now and always. The gift of His son is an unbelievable grace.

So this year I tried really hard to not be so OCD. Haha, it was fun making this house with Mikaela, she even wanted to make marshmellow snowmen! They came out super cute!

2 Annual Cookie Party

Here are the finished products from The Brown's 2nd annual cookie decorating party! Quinnie baked almost 300 cookies for everyone to decorate. It was so much fun! The kids even chose their most favorite creation to enter the cookie contest.

Oh Christmas Tree

Yesterday Oma & Papa took us up to Kula's Calasa Farms. They buy their Christmas tree from this farm every year. A really sweet couple has been running it forever! They have beautiful Christmas Trees on a beautiful piece of land Upcountry.


We strolled through the all the pretty trees. Mikaela picked the one she thought Oma & Papa should have, and Mr. Calasa cut it down right in front of us. He put it on the little tram type thing he has and drove it to our car. Mikaela and Zachy rode with Papa and the tree. Mr.& Mrs. Calasa will then plant another tree in the same spot he cut ours down. I love that because when your walking through the farm, there are all sizes and shapes of trees.

Did you notice Mikaela's and Zach's super cute shirts? My friend Amy hand stitched those cute fabrics on them to make Zach a tie, and Mikaela a Christmas tree! LOVE THEM!

2 Precious

Just thought I'd write down my 2 things my kids did today...

Zachy Boy woke up before Michael left this morning and when he saw that Daddy was just about to leave he turned to him with his cute pursed lips and said, "kiss!". So adorable!

I asked Mikaela to go get dressed for preschool this morning and she came out with a purple velvet dress, complete with shiny necklace, crown and shoes. "Mommy I'm a Princess today!" I quietly snuck a extra pair of clothes in her lunch box,but she arrived at school today as a Princess!

Joel David Woodard

"mid-sneeze" = so cute!

Our newest nephew is already a week old! Joel David was born on Nov. 30th, 2010. He is absolutely perfect, and soooooo handsome! We so wish we could hold him in our arms, but that will have to wait til we make the trek overseas. We miss their whole family so much! But, Melissa is really good about posting pictures, so we are thankful we get to "see" the little guy grow. Joel has two pretty awesome big brothers, Kiah and Isaiah.
